Well Rani, what I think of this is that it's neither True nor False.

First of all I think he's Racist, and second of all, knowledge and science are creatures that evolve through the life of cultures and empires as they rise and fall, Arabs built on the sciences of the Greeks and many other great cultures that preceded them and now the west builds on the accumulative scientific advancements of both the Arabs and the cultures that preceded them as well.

There are millions of great Arab scientists, thinkers, and pioneers in all sorts of domains (Check out Mr. Farouk El-Baz who's an Egyptian scientist who selected the moon landing sites and helped train the astronauts for the American space mission), but for the majority of the common Arab population what we need is a better educational system that re-enforces our pride in the self and the society in a manner that doesn't over indulge in the weeping for the lost glory of what once was, because that is just so self destructive and immobilizing and the other most important thing for us to start thinking about is, the quality of the up bringing of our children, it's not about how much kids you have, it's about the quality of the children's ethics, manners and ambitions, in the end it's all inter-related one way or another and I still have faith in the future :)

Yes, that was a silly, unprofessional and disparaging remark. And unnecessary. But, getting back to hummus, in my grocery store we have about 10 different types of hummos - plain, abu ghosh, spicey, turkish, etc., etc. How many do you have?
