Jordan Blogs Not Blogging about Jordan!!
Posted on 7/03/2009
I have made a simple experiment, I checked some Jordanian Blogs at the latest special days that Jordan and Jordanians celebrated but the results were not so great.
I didn't check all Jordan Blogs for sure, but I skimmed over some respected random sample of Jordanian Bloggers blogs to come up with some accurate exclusion which turned to be: [Most of Jordan Blogs disappointingly ignored Jordan Independence Day, and 10th Anniversary of King Abdullah II Accession to the Throne]. Thanks God not all of Jordan Blogs did so, as some of Jordanian Bloggers blogged about these special Jordanian days. [though I didn't dig more into other special days as the Anniversary of his Majesty King Hussein Death, but I am almost certain that same case would apply].
I got really sad of the experiment results, as I think such country and such leaders should be appreciated even with some simple easy ways as blog posts, Jordan is our beloved country, and our Hashemite Leaders are the ones positioning it on the right path.
I am NOT implying here that all Jordanian Bloggers should ONLY blog about Jordan and its festivals, but what I am trying to say is bloggers should blog about both positive and negative sides of Jordan, as am lately sensing that only negative issues are being blogged, while positive ones are kind of ignored by the majority. We should give credits for achievements just like we criticize failures.
I have also noticed that there is some event called "blog about Jordan" dated in March 12, this could be nice but the question is why to create another replica if we have some Original Jordanian days!!
Jordan might not be a perfect country, as any other country, it has some negative sides as it also has great positive sides. so appreciating its positive sides, celebrating its festivals, and on the other hand discussing problems, obstacles and challenges that Jordanians face encapsulated in constructive criticism style, would make some perfect combination that would help our beloved country Jordan to stay tuned on the right track of success.

I agree, Jordan is a great country and we should appreciate what we have, regardless of any negative points. Jordan is advancing like a rocket although we have limited resources. Long live the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and Our Beloved His Majesty King Abdullah II.
this is so true i strongly agree with you Rani.
I would say Jordan's Independence day is the only anniversary worth blogging about, the rest is not significant to me,,,personally speaking. But I see that the Jordanian blogspehere os loaded with bloggers who discuss various things and topics. I didn't notice as much coverage of anniversaries such as the 10th anniversary of the throne since we are bombarded with such news in the Papers, magazines, news, TV...got it?
Well, Media coverage of King Abdullah II accession to throne anniversary was great because the occasion was a bit special this year as it was the 10th Anniversary (last years anniversaries were not the same). but anyhow, the thing is we don't have to blog about the exact occasion, what am suggesting here is to use these days to blog about achievements and positive sides of Jordan just like we extensively blog negative ones.
:) i tottaly agree ,,, blog more and inspire :D
i have to agree with Ali, jordan indepenence day is the most important one, it's the day to review our past year, the good and the bad, and u were 100% right about writting about the right as much as the wrong
100% right :-) blog blog blog
