"Happy Eid" Festival of Sacrifice Greeting - where did it come from?! :)
First of all, I would like to wish you my friends and readers a "Happy Eid", I wish you are having blessed moments in these holidays!
One issue popped into my mind while I was sending SMS's to my muslim friends greeting them for the Celebration of "Sacrifice Feast" or "Festival of Sacrifice" is that recently commonly used greeting "Happy Eid"!!
"Happy Eid (Eid Saeed)" [for english readers: "Eid" is an arabic word that means Feast, Festival or Holy Day! and "Saeed" means Happy], now the thing is where did this combination come from? why is "Saeed" is being translated to english but "Eid" is NOT?!!! is there any reason preventing "Eid" to be translated??! Why don't we use "Eid Saeed" in first place? or is it about Globalization? if so, then why don't we use "Happy Feast" or "Happy Sacrifice Feast" ... !!
Well, that was one simple thing that i thought of, and i know it's not that important, as such days are more about Spiritual Activities regardless the materialistic behaviors and the words said!
so Happy Eid All :) have a great Sacrifice Feast, and enjoy your vacations :)

about the sms .. i only send these free on the web ,its a secrete :D
But find sending ecards more sweet and meaningful
i have never thought of it in that way :) COOL hehehe ...
eNas, wlcm :) and btw its not a secret as sending free web sms's will result in a msg ended with websites url at its end (i.e. Zain.com) so ur busted ;p hehe
Marwa, then u should rethink it over lol ;p
hehehe...funny post! I like arabic things, I smoke narghile (hubble bubble);))
The first Hajjaj cartoon is so funny man. I don't know why we say "Happy Eid" maybe it's easier than saying "Happy Feast", maybe we like to Arabize things, anyways all is good and Merry X-mas to all of you
