Installing the script of Recent Comments Widget for blogger (blogspot) blogs, is now so easy using this tool I am providing below.
This widget was easy to install on Wordpress blogs only, and it used to be a bit harder to be installed in blogspot, causing headache for bloggers hosting their blogs on blogspot!
Now you can simply customize your blogger widget and add it to your blog smoothly, just follow the wizard and your blogger widget will be ready for you, simply choose your preferences in the fields below, add your blog URL, type how many comments and how many characters to be displayed in the summary, select whether to display comments dates and posts titles or not, click "Apply", then click "Add Widget to my Blog". you will be redirected to your blogger dashboard, click "Add Widget" and you are done, your recent comments blogger widget is ready and displayed on your blog.

I use this widget before,it always a great widget and it extremely easy to install.
after installing will it show the last 5 comments or only the comments that are posted after the widget is installed?

Kelly.. no, you can control the number of comments to be displayed in the "comments to display" field, I've just set the default value to be 5 but you can alter it!
and it will show the latest comments regardless the date/time you have installed the widget in!

Hmm.. couldn't get it to work
that's because u have entered an invalid blog URL, blog entered was mymoneycents. blogspot.com [not found] while urs is mysavingcents. blogspot.com
Hi. thanks for posting this. i added to my blogger blog (layout version). i get the "recent comments" header but no comments show up. is there anything else i need to do?

@Dan - I had the same issue, left out the "www" in the adress, & it now works fine :-)
Except the Scandinavian character "æ" seems to dissapear in the titel - but not in the comment itself -?
I have missed having a recent comment feature since I left Wordpress. I did not know that there were people out there making free widgets, thank you so much. Like Dan I also added the widget to my blogger blog and got the "recent comments" header but no comments. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated?
