Increase Traffic to Increase Alexa Rank - Alexa is Back - 255,505 Alexa Rank in less than 5 months!

Recently, Alexa Website has made a huge change creating a New Alexa Rating Algorithm, so almost everyone faced a great shift in their Alexa Rank, either positively or negatively, at that time I was of those who faced a backward shift (500 to 900 thousands).
A while after this huge update of the Alexa Rank Algorithm, Alexa struggled in maintenance for almost 2 weeks (May 19th, 2008 - June 2nd, 2008), NOT updating the Alexa Weekly AVG nor Daily Reach Graphs for any website, accordingly, NOT exporting any new ranks in Alexa Toolbar.
Now, Alexa is more stable and updating Daily Reach Ranks and Graphs almost daily as it used to be, making us updated more often, and happy that Alexa is Back!
During all that shifts, ups and downs, I have managed my site to get 255,505 Alexa Rank within almost 5 months of it alive! I am glad I have such Alexa Rank for now and looking forward to make it even better!
I have read many articles about Alexa and how to increase Alexa Rank, but I guess there is only one way to Increase your Alexa Rank, that is to Increase Traffic to your website from all regions in the world, and here comes your Search Engine Optimization creative procedures to spread it over.

we've just jumped over 6.6 million spots in alexa rankings. granted i was at over 9 million when i started but at least i'm getting somewhere!
Seems like a death circle (or maybe success circle), just look at this:
SEO => Visitors => Alexa Rank => SEO
So, where we should start?

you start doing SEO, that will bring u more visitors traffic and that will increase ur alexa rank eventually!
SEO is NOT a result of high alexa rank, the case is the exact opposite!
so there are no death circles or deadlocks here!
Still no shift in my alexa ranking. And its still not an accurate measure of traffic.
I think if you create a site with some useful content, then people will come. You do a great job posting regularly and that is why your Alexa rating is good so quickly.
Amazingly my site went up more than 156% in 3 months and I was very happy, shockingly it is going down with the same speed. It is not predictable for me that why it is happening but I am stunned.
I'm sure that Alexa is getting better, in the top couple of hundred thousand ranks, I'm sure it's very accurate as these sites probably get a fair few daily visitors. When you're less than that then it's easy enough for a site with only a handful of visitors a day to show pretty high alexa rankings.

Just how accurate is Alexa? Do they really have enough plug-in's out there that they can really estimate a site's traffic, especially if it's a niche site?
Alexa rankings do not matter much to Search engines, so why the F does everyone care so much. Do a good job SEO-ing the site and a good job linking to the site with propoer anchor links using keywords, and make sure your content is regualrly updated and talked about on a few popular blogs or PR3-4 blogs and your good to go.
SEO => Visitors => Alexa Rank => SEO
