Blind Skiing Soccer - The Weirdest Soccer Game Photos [Faisaly (Jordan) Vs. Wefaq Staif (Algeria)]
Posted on 3/07/2008
In one of the weirdest soccer games ever, in the Arab Champions League, a snow storm attacked the green field filling it with the white snow and kept heavily snowing, surprisingly the game was not aborted and it was played to the end in one of the hardest soccer games ever, that turned into Blind Skiing Soccer!!!!
Check the photos out:

hi... i am a big faisaly fan... but there is something that i blame faisaly for it... i have been told that they were offered to stop the last 10 minutes of the game and they refued because they were scared that wefaq steef would win them in the next time... is that true?? if it is then its faisaly's fault because no human being can play in that weather...
A big fan of el neser el azrag...
hey..
i don't think so man.. cuz those kind of decisions are taken by the referee not by players! in FIFA Rules, the referee is responsible for taking such decisions, if the pitch, field, tools and the weather is appropriate! and players have nothing to do in those cases but to obey referee!!
the final result was really unfair according to what happened in the game.. bs alla be3een..
lets wish al za3eem el foz aw el ta3adol next wed. against al raja2 al baydawi!
Yes, that is surprising the game wasn't aborted under such abominable conditions. (unreal pics :)
In Bulgaria in November last year officials wisely postponed two second division matches and one premier league game.
Champions Levski Sofia's match against Chernomorets Burgas was cancelled less than 2 hours before the scheduled kick-off after snow covered the ground at the stadium...but it wasn't as bad as the conditions shown in your photos!
I don't think it's fair to make players endure such suffering. Trade unions would call strike actions if their workers had to operate under those conditions!
i'm not a soccer fan but that just helped sway my decision to try and sit through a game sometime. glad to see they kept playing in those conditions. i'd have been running to the sidelines every 5 minutes for another cup of coffee from the looks of those pics lol.
This is really cool and this simply show how great and professional all the players were. Playing on that kind of weather wasn't that easy.
What fantastic pictures ... I've never seen anything like that.
How snow do you get in your country? I never thought of Jordan having snow at all!
lol the game was in Algeria!
but for sure we got snow in Jordan too! we got a very hot summer and a very cold winter too! we are a normal country in this big world u know ;p
Ooops ... I thought it was in your country, sorry about that. But to be honest, I wouldn't think about snow in Algeria either. Clearly I need to study some more geography!
I wonder if we'll see snow at tonight's game between Spain & Germany? Me, I'm hoping for Germany to get washed away in a flood of Spanish goals ... Viva Espana!
I would like to say thanks for your link. One of my favourite things about “The Beautiful Game” of soccer is that the fans are some of the most creative people in the world. From a finite number of songs, they can change the lyrics to sing about their heroes/enemies in creative and funny ways that’d make few lyrics seem insipid and boring.
Lol Rani, is it really snowing in eastern or am I just dumb? What was the temperature during that game, I cant remember reading it in the article?
